We are currently seeking a talented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team.

Position Summary:
BPM-PR Firm is looking for a Part Time Contract to Permanent Staff Accountant to immediately join our team.  As Staff Accountant at BPM-PR Firm, you will play a pivotal role in managing and executing our financial operations. Reporting to the CEO, you will be responsible for overseeing AP, AR, financial records, processing payroll, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and contributing to budgeting and financial growth strategies. The ideal candidate will have a strong track record of maintaining accurate financial records, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and a deep understanding of financial business growth strategies, payroll processing, financial reporting, and strategic financial budgeting, record keeping & planning.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.
  • Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, reconcile accounts, and ensure timely month-end and year-end closing.
  • Process bi-weekly or monthly payroll, ensuring accurate and timely payment to employees.
  • Handle payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations in various states through the U.S.
  • Prepare budgets, financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Generate financial reports for management, providing analytical insights and recommendations for financial planning and decision-making.
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, including invoice processing, recurring invoice set ups and liaison with clients AP departments monthly to ensure timely payments. 
  • Ensure entry to bill.com of invoices,  timely communication and accurate payment of vendor invoices and follow up on outstanding receivables.
  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial forecasts for various departments.
  • Monitor budget performance, providing variance analysis, and recommendations for cost control.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
  • Provide effective financial growth recommendations to support strategic planning and decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filings.
  • Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and information.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, preferably in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in financial management, accounting & billing software QuickBooks online, Bill.com, Microsoft Suite, and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing and related regulations.
  • Proficiency payroll systems, including but not limited to ADP.
  • Knowledge of U.S. tax laws
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a part-time role.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Additional Information:
  • This is a part-time contractor position transitioning to permanent, requiring approximately 14-25 hours per week.
  • Flexible working hours are available.

This is a remote position.

Compensation: $50,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
